Current distribution includes 350 customers throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, and the Middle East.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload pallets and bins of avocados on a flatbed truck by operating the boom lever securing and ensuring no damage to product during transit from field to the packinghouse operations
- Pick up and deliver avocados to the packinghouse facilities via tractor-trailer truck, as assigned by following pre-established routes using maps or satellite tracking
- Record amount and type of cargo being delivered
- Scan all bins electronically
- Produces and maintains paperwork related to deliveries and driver paperwork such as driver logs
- Prepares truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure; obtaining or scheduling required repairs; validating adherence to road-ability standards
- Maintain safe operations and clean appearance by complying with the Company's operational policies, procedures, and standards as well as federal, state and local driving rules and regulations
- Follow all safety and accident procedures
- Take special precautions while driving
- Drive forklift occasionally as needed by the facility
- Other driving duties as assigned or required

Pay Rate
The base pay we reasonably expect to pay for this role is : $20.00 / hour to $25.00 / hour.
The actual pay for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and / or employment type.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
The essential functions of this job require frequent standing, walking, and upper body movements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to have full repetitive use of both hands and fingers (simple grasping).
Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching above and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying are also essential. The employee will also be in contact with chemical products and machinery.
Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts, stacks, pallets and may be exposed in high places and surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. The incumbent may be exposed to situations in which occasional lifting may be involved (up to 80 lbs.), with or without assistance. There will be exposure to situations of working in a hot or cold environment from 38°F-60°F and will frequently be exposed to hot or wet (humid) locations.
