Primary Duties & Responsibilities
This individual’s primary responsibility includes office management and project development. She/he will assist in supporting and coordinating various projects as directed by the various operation managers. She/he reports to the Vice President and will also support the management team of operations.
- Responsible for all POs outside of Packaging Supplies for All US Facilities
- Assist in keeping track of all Operations/QC/Maintenance/IT Purchase orders
- Ensure all documentation is provided to Finance upon arrival
- Follow up on orders with vendors
- Submit all paperwork to finance for payment
- Complete Expense report for the Purchasing Department
- Act as back up to Purchasing Coordinator
- Plan meetings and take detailed notes
- Write and distribute emails, correspondence memos, letters, faxed, and forms
- Assist in developing and maintaining a filing system for all required data in Purchasing
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external vendors
- Work with Famous for accurate data entry and collection
- Assist Purchasing Managers with various tasks
- Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds when possible
- Assist in all administrative tasks
- Learn all Material
- Handle all returns
- Responsible for all material transfer
- Work closely with Logistics
- Ensure deliveries are on time
- Responsible for all inventories of logistics supplies in Dallas/NJ/CA/Border DCS
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by department managers
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s or Associates degree a plus
- Minimum 2 Years of Purchasing experience preferred
Skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Understanding of weights and measurements
- Knowledge of intermediate arithmetic
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure
- Interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems

Pay Rate
The base pay we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $20.00/hour to $23.00/hour.
The actual pay for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
The essential functions of this job require frequent standing, walking, and upper body movements. Specific vision acuity required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and color vision when cleaning products. Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching above and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying are also essential. The employee will also be in contact with chemical products and machinery.
Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts, stacks, pallets and may be exposed in high places and surfaces. There is moderate noise in the work environment. The incumbent for this position may be on call for emergencies according to the business needs, only when required.
The noise level is frequently quiet or moderately quiet, at or below 70 decibels and in the product plant areas noise levels can exceed 80 decibels when machinery is operating.
The incumbent may be exposed to situations in which occasional lifting may be involved (up to 50 lbs.), with or without assistance. There will be exposure to situations of working in a hot or cold environment from 38°F-60°F and will frequently be exposed to hot or wet (humid) locations.
