This position requires frequent travel to field locations and district offices. The role involves exposure to outdoor environments, heavy machinery, and high-risk operations, such as rig moving and crane activity. Flexibility for after-hours support is required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Oversight:
- Supervise and monitor field safety practices, ensuring compliance with company standards, FMCSA regulations, and OSHA crane safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of rig moving operations and crane activities to identify hazards and mitigate risks.
- Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and lift plans for rig moving and crane operations.
- Safety Standdowns:
- Organize and present safety standdowns on critical topics, incidents, and lessons learned, with support from safety consultants.
- Ensure standdown sessions address industry-specific challenges, including rig moving and crane operations.
- Incident Response and Investigation:
- Lead investigations into field incidents, accidents, and near-misses, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), driver qualification files, and vehicle maintenance standards.
- Monitor OSHA compliance for crane operations and rigging safety.
- Collaborate with the Safety Compliance Coordinator to ensure compliance with TPA platforms and quarterly statistics reporting.
- Training and Development:
- Deliver safety training for field personnel, including site-specific training on rig moving, crane safety, and FMCSA regulations.
- Ensure all new hires complete the required training prior to their start date.
- Drug and Alcohol Program Management:
- Manage and oversee quarterly random drug testing for field employees in compliance with FMCSA requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between field teams, corporate safety personnel, and safety consultants.
- Provide regular updates on safety performance, compliance issues, and field initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement best practices to improve safety outcomes in rig moving and crane operations.
- Stay current on changes in FMCSA regulations, OSHA standards, and industry-specific safety practices.
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically in rig moving operations or a related safety role.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, OSHA crane safety standards, and rigging best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in safety training, incident investigation, and compliance management.
- Proficient in managing safety documentation, including driver qualification files and JSAs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with safety management systems, TPA platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
