West Plains Engineering, Inc is actively hiring an Electrical Department Head to join its team in Casper, Wyoming. This position, reporting to the Office Manager and working with Project Mangers, is responsible for mentoring and overseeing all Electrical Design Staff within a specific office or division. The Electrical Department Head will manage the design of building power, lighting, data/telecommunications, fire alarm, and special systems, ensuring successful project execution. Responsibilities include overseeing scheduling, project assignments, and cross-training of staff, while providing guidance across all phases of design and construction.

This role requires strong leadership, from running calculations and sizing switchgear to service as the primary point of contact with clients and stakeholders. The Electrical Department Head must be organized, focused, and motivated to guide a team while ensuring the success of projects of varying size and complexity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registration as a Professional Engineer
• 10 years of related experience
• Previous leadership experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the electrical building systems
