Accounting Specialist
West Plains LLC is a part of BioUrja Group, and we are an agricultural commodity trading business specializing in warehouse operation, risk management, and transportation with a focus on creating value for the company’s producers and consumers. Our customers depend on us to provide market insight, risk management, and logistics support. We are federally licensed and bonded warehousemen that trade whole grains, feed ingredients, freight, and other commodities within North America. We are headquartered in Omaha Nebraska and have twenty-five locations spread across six states. The company controls nearly 20 million bushels of elevator space though ownership or lease agreements.
We are looking for an Account Specialist based out of our Omaha, NE location. This position will be very customer service focused and building long term relationships.
Summary of job duties:
· Attend all incoming requests and inquiries from both internal and external customers.
· Strong communication skills.
· Provide constant communications and updates on processes, schedules, or anticipated delays to both internal and external customers.
· Assist with resolving issues and clearing back logs.
· Offer a high standard of customer service with excelling written (email) and verbal communications.
· Provide expedited customer support and feedback.
· Assist in reparation customer relationships.
· Maintain and update account records.
· Identify customer issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
· Develop, implement, and maintain credit information and policy.
· Review credit reports and apply financial analysis to identify and monitor potential issues.
· Review and adjust or recommend credit limits as needed.
· Request incoming letters of credit / prepay when necessary.
· Must be able to manage both inbound and outbound calls with ease and stability.
· Customer service and problem-solving abilities are a must.
· Will keep management always informed regarding changes and or updates.
· Participate fully in meetings, skills training, and professional development classes.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of handling accounts
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Expedient problem solving.
Working knowledge of Grain and Grain Products
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook).
Must have results oriented skills and the entrepreneurial attitude to get the job done.
Proficient Data Entry skills.
Ability to prioritize and multitask with strong attention to detail.
Excellent telephone sales skills / friendly voice
Highly energetic and self-starter.
Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.
