Operations Manager

General Summary
Directs activities of construction, engineering, network, and installation/repair through subordinate managers. Develops short- and long-range business plans. Develops budgets, authorizes expenditures, and oversees projects to ensure business plan objectives are met. Ensures the telco personnel understand efficiency, safety procedures and preventive maintenance operations. Researches new products, services, and technologies; evaluates market demand and makes recommendations to top management.
Essential Job Functions
-Directs activities of construction, engineering, network and installation/repair through subordinate managers. Provides leadership to all areas of operations to ensure the highest levels of customer service, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of products and services.
-Develops short- and long-range business plans.
-Develops operations budgets, authorizes expenditures, and oversees projects to ensure business plan objectives are met.
-Ensure telco personnel understand efficiency, safety procedures and preventive maintenance operations.
-Identifies, researches, and recommends new products, services, and technologies to top management. Evaluates market demand and makes recommendations for implementation.
-Proactively upsell WRT products and services.
-Adapt to the evolving and changing business needs, conditions and work responsibilities of WRT and the industry.
-Promote organizational mission and goals by influencing others to act in support of ideas, programs or causes.
-Display an ongoing positive commitment to learning and self-improvement; desiring and trying to acquire new knowledge or skills for work.
-Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieve results with good fiscal policy.
-Satisfactorily complete any additional training required by and related to this position.
-Performs all other related duties as assigned by CEO/GM.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in applicable or related field or equivalent experience. Five to seven years of telecom management experience and a strong technical background is desired.
Reporting Requirements
Reports to WRT Headquarters in Hazen, ND and must reside within the WRT service area.
