As a writing coach, you will actively participate in designated course sessions, establishing meaningful connections with students and providing invaluable feedback and guidance during class meetings. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In addition to providing targeted outreach during class meetings and providing feedback on student writing, As the Professional Embedded Writing Coach, you will assist students with reaching their academic goals by performing the following tasks: Hold coaching sessions outside of class meeting times and accurately document those sessions Collaborate with faculty members through discussions focused on student progress and needsProvide outreach to students with missing assignments, absences, or persistent difficulties, and offer assistance or provide access to additional resourcesResearch and develop useful class materials
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This position will begin with our Fall semester, August 2025, and requires 10-28 hours/per week during the Fall and Winter semesters.West Shore Community College is an equal opportunity employer.
