What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Sourcing Manager position at West Shore Home?

As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Finance team at our Corporate HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by developing solutions to complex spend categories, driving savings through negotiations and purchasing, and increasing accuracy and visibility.
As the Strategic Sourcing Manager at West Shore Home®, you will contribute to this mission by creating sourcing strategies and procedures to deliver optimal value to the organization. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, work closely with key business stakeholders, and oversee the Strategic Sourcing team.
What You’ll Contribute
In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop and execute request for information & request for proposals (RFI, RFP) to gain an understanding of market dynamics and supplier’s positions within the market
- Prepare internal negotiation strategy documents
- Lead strategic sourcing projects from inception to implementation including strategic planning, negotiation, and contracting in direct/indirect spend categories
- Perform best in class sourcing activities from end to end including spend and market analysis, sourcing strategy, negotiations, contracting, process improvement, and ongoing supplier and stakeholder management
- Develop and execute multi-year category strategies, aligning West Shore Homes’ sourcing objectives and strategies with overall business objectives
- Develop and support key metrics (Supplier KPIs, Program Compliance, Saving Pipeline) to ensure the needs of our business are met
- Inspire trust and build strong, positive, productive relationships with key business stakeholders
- Perform complex value analysis and financial evaluations of bid proposals, including evaluating potential supplier’s relative financial strength and capabilities to deliver results over the term of the contract
- Perform contract management and maintenance including amendments, extension of terms, and product additions and removals
- Manage contracts to ensure performance of the supplier to contract obligations
What It Takes To Succeed

- 3 years of experience in project management or negotiations
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, strategic supplier negotiations, and purchasing
- Comfortable developing and presenting complex initiatives to gain strategic alignment with a variety of stakeholders across the business
- Financially oriented, engaging, team-player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with exceptional analytical and strategic abilities, who can showcase initiatives back to value
- High degree of ethics and integrity, in addition to exceptional analytical abilities
