JOB SUMMARY
The role of Laboratory Informatics Specialists is to enhance the quality of patient care through the effective use of clinical information systems. This involves developing and maintaining these systems, providing essential training and support to healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. By analyzing clinical data, the specialist contributes to improved patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. Additionally, the role serves as a critical communication link between IT and clinical departments, ensuring that technology solutions meet the practical needs of healthcare professionals
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Information Technology, or a related field
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical informatics or a related role
3. Certification in Health Informatics or a related discipline is preferred
4. Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems and data management
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
6. Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data
7. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
8. Technical proficiency in relevant software and tools
Pay Rate
$70,000-$80,00
JOB DUTIES
1. Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers. *
2. Performs direction for a comprehensive Laboratory informatics program by developing specific informatics plans, data analysis, and systems that support efficiency and effectiveness for end users, with the primary goal of advancing evidence-based practice, improving medication safety, and optimizing pharmacy related workflows.
3. Develop and maintain clinical information systems
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize technology use
5. Analyze and interpret clinical data for improved patient outcomes
6. Provide training and support for clinical staff on information systems
7. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data security standards
8. Create and manage documentation related to clinical informatics systems
9. Facilitate communication between IT and clinical departments
10. Participate in research and development of new informatics solutions
11. Consults with external agencies and organizations related to a specific project and/or area of expertise to standardize and ensure compliance with local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements.
12. Participate in implementing goals and objectives, and policies and procedures for the department.
