West TN Bank is seeking a Universal Banker responsible for building and maintaining relationships with both consumer and business customers by providing exceptional in-branch customer service. The Universal Banker is fully cross-functional, adeptly handling all duties of a Teller and Customer Service Representative (CSR), along with additional responsibilities to best serve our customers. This role requires initiative, a customer-first mindset, comprehensive knowledge of bank products and the ability to support branch management with fundamental functions and cross-training branch staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possess a working knowledge of all retail services, products, procedures and regulations.
- Perform all functions related to teller operations, including processing transactions, managing large cash transactions, daily cash balancing (teller drawer, Vault & ATM), processing cash advances, issuing cashier’s checks, balancing daily GL, processing night and mail deposits and other teller line functions.
- Open and close accounts, assist customers with the appropriate selection of accounts, conduct research for customer accounts, comply with BSA and CIP requirements and make decisions on policy exception accounts.
- Cross-sell appropriate products and services to benefit the customer and maintain sales goals.
- Actively participate in branch and staff meetings to stay informed about organizational issues and promotional campaigns, and remain current on policies, procedures and compliance.
- Assist the loan department with processing loan payments, answering customer loan-related questions (due date, interest rate, payment amount, interest due, pay-off, etc.) and signing loan documents.
- Accept and process account changes as well as debit and credit card applications.
- Troubleshoot issues with accounts, debit cards, online banking and mobile app.
- Handle opening and closing procedures of the bank.
- Assist with training on operational duties for tellers and CSRs.
- Participate in continuing education as approved/recommended by a supervisor.
- Perform other duties and tasks as opportunities arise.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum three years of banking and/or customer service experience preferred.
