Job Title: Part-Time Court Reporting Instructor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified part-time faculty member to teach court reporting courses at West Valley College. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching lecture-discussion courses, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning. You will also contribute to the growth and development of the court reporting program and engage with students, staff, and faculty through various campus activities and events.

Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

• Developing and delivering high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of students;
• Assessing student learning and providing feedback;
• Maintaining accurate records and submitting required reports;
• Providing advising services to students;
• Engaging with students, staff, and faculty through various campus activities and events;

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess one of the following qualifications:

• Any bachelor's degree AND two years of court reporting or related professional experience;
• Any associate degree AND six years of court reporting or related professional experience;

You must also demonstrate the ability to effectively work with diverse groups of people and communicate complex ideas clearly. Desired qualifications include proficiency in computer-aided transcription, real-time writing, and litigation support, as well as experience teaching or providing CART or captioning services.
