Position Description
The Program Coordinator with the West Virginia Office of Energy will assist in organizing and facilitating a statewide program on the day-to-day level, helping the program team achieve project targets and deliver project outcomes. Under direction of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will engage with project stakeholders, including members of the public, to provide necessary information on project goals and to uncover and resolve barriers to success. Success in this role will be the result of proactive project management, collaborative communication, flexible problem-solving, outstanding customer service, and prompt conflict resolution.
Essential Duties
- Assist the Program Manager in conducting program audits and other oversight measures, ensuring adherence to program standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members in the Office of Energy to share knowledge, solve problems, and improve project performance and outcomes.
- Respond to all inquiries regarding project status and manage the consumer hotline phone number, ensuring any consumer complaints are routed to the appropriate parties for resolution.
- Attend community events to promote and distribute program literature and share related information, acting on behalf of the West Virginia Office of Energy.
- Conduct program evaluation activities, such as delivering surveys to gather feedback from participants, then compile those results and report the findings to the Program Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in writing, speaking, and meeting etiquette (both virtual and in-person).
- Experience in planning and prioritizing multiple and competing tasks/projects effectively, meeting deadlines, and working independently and/or with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to focus on details, documentation, data interpretation, report generation, and follow-through.
- Demonstrated proficiency with different platforms and applications (e.g. GoogleDrive, Microsoft Office, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
- 2-3 years of prior work experience with progressive responsibility (a work history that shows growth and advancement in terms of complexity, difficulty, or level of responsibility).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems holistically, thinking through implications, impacts, and potential risks of proposed solutions.
- Knowledge of grant development, implementation, and monitoring.
Desired Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a grant-funded, multi-year contract position, and is contingent on continued availability of federal funding.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
