    Job Title: Future Business Leaders of America Society Advisor
    Location: Taylor County Middle School
    To Whom Responsible: Building Principal
    STIPEND: $30.00 Per Hour up to 25 Hours
    EFFECTIVE DATE: Upon Board Approval, through end of school year
    Time: 3:30-5:30 Monday through Friday as needed

    Job Overview: The Middle School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Advisor plays a vital role in guiding and mentoring students as they develop leadership, business, and career skills. The Advisor oversees the planning and execution of FBLA activities, competitions, and events, fostering an environment that promotes personal and professional growth. This role involves collaborating with students, school staff, and community stakeholders to create meaningful experiences aligned with the mission of FBLA.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Program Leadership
    • Serve as the primary leader for the middle school FBLA chapter, ensuring alignment with FBLA’s mission and goals.
    • Mentor students in developing leadership, communication, teamwork, and professional skills.
    • Encourage participation in FBLA activities, including competitions, conferences, and community projects.
    Chapter Management
    • Organize and facilitate regular FBLA meetings with clear agendas and objectives.
    • Manage the membership recruitment process, promoting FBLA to eligible students.
    • Maintain accurate records of membership, events, finances, and achievements.
    • Ensure compliance with national, state, and school-level FBLA policies.
    Event Planning and Participation
    • Guide students in planning and executing service projects, fundraisers, and business-related initiatives.
    • Facilitate student preparation for FBLA competitions at the local, state, and national levels.
    • Coordinate attendance at FBLA conferences, workshops, and leadership events.
    Student Development
    • Foster an inclusive and positive environment where students feel encouraged to explore their interests and develop their talents.
    • Provide resources, feedback, and support to help students excel in competitions and leadership roles.
    • Recognize and celebrate student achievements within the FBLA chapter and the school community.
    Community and School Engagement
    • Build relationships with local businesses and community leaders to support FBLA initiatives.
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to enhance program opportunities.
    • Promote FBLA activities and accomplishments through school communication channels and social media.
    Budget and Fundraising
    • Manage the chapter’s budget, ensuring responsible use of funds.
    • Organize fundraising activities to support chapter events, travel, and projects.
    • Ensure all financial activities align with school policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:
    • Current teaching certification and employment within the school.
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Passion for mentoring students in business, leadership, and career development.
    • Familiarity with FBLA or other student leadership organizations is preferred.

    Work Schedule:
    This position may require occasional availability outside regular school hours for meetings, events, competitions, and conferences.
