What are the responsibilities and job description for the #P-1701 Game Day Manager - Brooke County Schools - Spring 24/25SY; Fall 25/26SY; Winter 25/26SY position at West Virginia Department of Education?
- Demonstrate high professional ethics.

- Attend all home athletic events.
- Enforce rules and regulations as set forth by the WVSSAC and the OVAC.
- Supervise athletic facilities under the direction of the Athletic Director (AD) and principal.
- Act as a consultant to the principal, AD and coaches on matters pertaining to home athletic contests.
- Ensure the demonstration of good sportsmanship of players, coaches and fans.
- Ensure that officials turn in required paperwork prior to or following each home contest.
- Check for any special program ceremonies and/or halftime programs in order to facilitate the event.
- Collect the money box(es) and tickets from the athletic office secretary prior to 3:30 p.m. Verify the amount of money in each box and sign off on it.
- Ensure that all scheduled personnel have reported to work and inform the AD if anyone fails to report.
- Deliver the money box(es) and tickets to the appropriate ticket salesperson(s) ensuring that they verify the amount and sign off on it, as well.
- Communicate with custodial staff regarding any issues related to preparation, clean up, and any other facility needs.
- Accommodate, as able, any home or visiting media wishing to broadcast or report on athletic events.
- Confirm with the visiting teams and officials the pertinent details of their participation (i.e., time schedule, dressing facilities, etc.)
- Ensure adequate pre-game preparation of field and gym facilities (i.e., make sure fields are properly lined, make sure adequate team seating is available, make sure the PA system is in working order, etc.)
- Complete the ticket sale report form following each home contest and ensure that the monies collected are counted, verified and turned into the AD.
- Collect the pass sign-in sheet and turn into the athletic office.
- Perform other such duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Principal or Athletic Director as it related to home athletic events.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the West Virginia Policy 5310.
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
