What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant - OHFLAC position at West Virginia Office of the Inspector General?
Nature of Work
This position assists Program Managers and Health Facility/Nurse Surveyors with the administrative coordination, implementation, and technical assistance of day-to-day operations within the assigned program. This work is performed in accordance with Medicaid and Medicare regulations/guidelines and appropriate state licensure rule(s).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or edit correspondence on behalf of the program manager.
- Respond to inquiries, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain ASPEN and/or iQUIES systems and other documentation to support the scheduling of survey activities.
- Coordinate daily activities with other internal units and external offices, such as HealthCare Authority, Adult Protective Services, State Fire Marshal, and the CMS Regional Office, as needed.
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor all legal action documentation, scheduling informal meetings and hearings when necessary.
- Compile reports, notices, forms, letters, and other relevant documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must learn and use program specific computer applications
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience performing routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
