Parks/Pipestem Resort State Park The employee will safely transport guests and visitors to and from the Mountain Creek Lodge facility; will safely load and unload passengers onto and off tramway vehicles; will conduct daily and ongoing operational inspections of the machinery and components of the aerial tramway, including surrounding areas, that may indicate operational hazards; and will verify that pre-operational inspections have been completed and documented prior to opening for daily public operation. The employee will perform regularly required maintenance on tramway drive trains, cabling, cable towers, and all associated mechanisms, primarily from elevated heights; will perform diagnostics to safely operate the tram and enact repairs; will operate and suspend operations pursuant to all required standards and policies. Additionally, the employee will provide excellent hospitality and customer service to all guests and visitors, and may be required to oversee and train seasonal, part-time tramway operators and may assist in evacuation of guests and visitors to Mountain Creek lodge in the event of an emergency situation. The employee will maintain up-to-date training and/or education of aerial tram operations and safety requirements and maintain safety requirements/training for performing regular work from elevated heights in proper safety equipment. Performs related work as required. Regular attendance is required.

Training: Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience or paid self-employment in heating, cooling, ventilation, building maintenance, tramway operation, chair lift operation, T-Bar operation, rope tow operation, or building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plasterer, welder, machinist, or masonry. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT Must be able to pass a physical examination prior to employment and one every twelve months thereafter. Must be able to successfully complete the Aerial Tramway Operator Training provided by the Engineering Section of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources.
