Executive-HR-Employment Services Under the general supervision of the Human Resources/Employment Services Manager, this employee will perform personnel related duties in the agency centralized Human Resources office. Will serve as lead assistant and back up to the Employment Services Manager. Enter, process, and may approve OASIS personnel and position transactions such as ESMT, PSMT, LDPR, etc. Verify and process tax documents and direct deposit forms for payroll and travel. Will be required to assist with the data entry in the Kronos/UKG time and leave system for full time and temporary employees. Serve as backup for seasonal payroll processing and employee benefits. Assist to update, maintain and validate the agency's personal services schedule as transactions occur. Provide expenditure schedule reports as requested. Provide or review calculations for settlement agreements. Verify personnel actions(ESMT) calculations concerning leave balances, LWD, LDOP, etc. and prepare as necessary. Log, process and file approved ESMT transactions. May create training documents and learning guides for HR and payroll functions. Conduct training as needed, with supervisory staff. Advise the public as well as employees about qualifications for positions, and how to proceed with applying for full time positions. Complete employment or loan verifications as requested. Will calculate, verify, and maintain tenure records for tenure increments, prior service, and employee recognition for salaried employees. Compose letters as requested by the supervisor and secure service certificates when necessary. Process and distribute business intelligence reports as necessary. Develop and maintain spreadsheets as needed. Responsible for preparing and distributing overtime reports to the Director's Office and agency sections as requested. Assist the fiscal unit and supervisors with employee travel proxy designations. Must be able to appropriately manage personal and confidential data, and work under pressure of strict deadlines. Must possess a high degree of accuracy, good math skills, attention to detail, and good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers, management, and other contacts such as those in the Auditor's Office, Treasury, etc. May be required to work extended hours upon short notice. Limited overnight travel for training purposes may be required. Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as PC, calculator, copier, printer, fax, etc.Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in personnel.
