What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lottery Video Technical Support Specialist 1 - Revenue - Lottery Commission - Harrison Co. position at West Virginia?
Under general supervision, at the full performance level, this position works in the WV Lottery Video Operations call center to provide technical support to external end users for problems related to video lottery terminals located at licensed limited video lottery venues and casinos in West Virginia.
Monitors and operates the Lottery’s various systems located in our primary and secondary data centers. Perform first-level problem determination on complex systems and collaborate with 3rdparty system vendors to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
Directs calls to appropriate personnel within the division when further assistance is required to answer questions regarding video lottery terminal installations, configurations, error messages, project status, system procedures, online transactions, system status, and downtime. Assist with conducting nightly drawing procedures and monitoring lottery internal control systems for in state and multi-state draw games. Assist the site supervisor with facility management duties at the Lottery’s secondary site.
Work may require in-state travel and overnight stay. Perform related work as required.
Primary location will be at the Lottery’s secondary site in Bridgeport, WV. The primary work schedule will be second shift (mid-day) and may be subject to 24/7 on-call status, as assigned.

Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience working in information technology and/or systems operations.
OR
Substitution: Coursework in computer science from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at a rate of twelve (12) semester hours for every one (1) year of experience.
AND
Special Requirements: Background and credit investigation and security clearance required for employment.
