What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Worker - Coopers Rock State Forest - See Posting position at West Virginia?
Parks/Coopers Rock State Forest/Monongalia and Preston Counties The general purpose of this position is to provide both semi-skilled and unskilled maintenance labor at Coopers Rock State Forest. Because this State Forest is developed with recreational facilities, both reactive and preventative maintenance is required constantly. As we are open and serve the public, it is very important to ensure that the facility is safe and well-maintained. This position will be part of the maintenance department providing maintenance services to the property. Assists in the performance of routine and minor repairs on buildings and facilities at the forest, including assisting Building Maintenance Mechanics with various routine and preventative maintenance tasks. Gathers and disposes of trash and other waste from the campground and other recreational areas of the forest. Cleans public restrooms and stocks supplies. Performs grounds work such as sweeping curbs and sidewalks, snow and ice removal from sidewalks and roadways, trimming and grass cutting, stocking of firewood at the campground, and delivery of supplies to the gift shop. Performs other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required.
