About Us: West Windsor Arts (WWA) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to enriching our community through the arts. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Temporary Education Manager to join our team and provide coverage for an employee on maternity leave. This role is crucial for maintaining the continuity of our educational programs and supporting our dedicated team during this transition.
Position Overview: The Temporary Education Manager will be instrumental in overseeing various aspects of education program management, including classes and camps, events, marketing, customer service, volunteer coordination, resource management, and facilities management. This position involves collaboration with a team of arts administrators and educators, working closely with both internal management and external stakeholders. The expected start date will be March 3, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education Programs Administration: Plan and implement classes, hire/oversee teaching artists, coordinate supporting programs, manage calendars, track financials, and communicate effectively regarding the organization’s educational and multi-disciplinary arts programs for all ages.
- Spring and Summer Camp Oversight: Coordinate, conduct training for, and oversee spring break and summer camp programs and staff, ensuring a high-quality experience for participants and adherence to safety and educational standards.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events that showcase the organization and its educational initiatives to the community.
- Marketing and Communications: Maintain education website listings and registration CRM. Partner with the Executive Director and Marketing Consultant to create and distribute marketing materials for the organization’s education programs.
- Customer Service: Assist with front desk operations, respond to inquiries, promote membership, and engage with the community about the organization and its offerings.
- Volunteer Management: Collaborate with the Outreach Programs Manager to recruit, train, and oversee volunteers supporting educational programming, ensuring accurate tracking of hours and data integrity.
- Facility Management: Organize art materials and classrooms, and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of all facilities.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned and report directly to the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit arts program management or administration.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including content creation, proofreading, and editing.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for developing and supporting programs in a dynamic nonprofit setting.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Google Suite; experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software is a plus, along with familiarity with A/V systems.
- Artistic experience in visual arts is preferred.
- Experience as a teaching artist or in classroom teaching is a plus.
Special Requirements:
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Ability to perform tasks that may include standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Some lifting (up to 30 lbs) may be required.
