Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Hybrid (3 days a week onsite in Kent, WA)
We have an amazing opportunity to join a very well-funded and well-positioned Seattle area aerospace startup as their second SDET contributing to the growth of a successful B2B SaaS product. In this greenfield development environment, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test frameworks, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and UX teams to drive seamless releases.
This is a high-impact role with a lot of ownership in a rapidly growing startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and automate end-to-end tests to validate real-world user workflows
- Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Review pull requests (PRs), understand code changes, and ensure adequate test coverage
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, high-quality releases
- Perform API testing to verify data flows between frontend, backend, and external systems
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and UX teams to improve test efficiency
- Monitor and refine automated test strategies to support frequent deployments and maintain system stability
What You Bring
- 8 years SDET experience
- Strong experience in end-to-end testing for B2B SaaS applications
- Proficiency in TypeScript, C#, or Java and experience writing test automation
- Hands-on experience with modern UI Automation frameworks( Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium)
- Bachelor's in Computer Science
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, SuperTest)
- Strong understanding of test automation best practices, including Page Object Models (POM) and reusable test components
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, ensuring efficient test execution and quick releases
- Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate with engineers and product teams effectively
