What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Warehouse Clerk position at Westaff?
We are looking for someone with both Material Handlers and Warehouse Clerks. Both positions require 1 year of previous material handing or pick and pack experience while the clerk position also requires computer skills and excel experience.
What you'll do on a typical day :
Material Handlers :
Pick, ticket, and label parts
Unload and load trucks
Shipping and receiving
Clerks-all of the above plus :
Process -orders and maintain inventory into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Perform data entry tasks
Research and correct transaction errors
Handle domestic and international shipping documents
Schedule :
Monday-Friday 7AM-3 : 30PM
Pay rate :
19 for Material Handlers
20 for Clerks
At a minimum, you'll need :
1 year of warehouse experience
Ability to speak, read (fine print) and write in English
Clerks also need basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
This job requires the ability to :
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
Stand, sit or walk for long periods of time
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel tools or equipment
Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
It'd be great if you also have :
Experience entering and maintaining information in a WMS
