Westat, a well-known research organization, seeks experienced telephone interviewers to work on a project that starts in October 2024 and requires a federal clearance.

Candidates must be able to work 15-40 hours per week, during any of the following times:
- Afternoons (12pm - 6pm ET),
- Evenings (6pm - 10pm ET), and
- Weekends (Sat 10am - 6 pm ET; Sun 2pm - 9pm ET).
- 18 years of age or older,
- have at least six months of phone interviewing experience,
- be willing to submit to and pass a federal background clearance (eAPP and fingerprinting),
- provide a voice sample, and
- have strong computer skills.
- A Windows-based PC (Windows 10 or later) with 600 MB of free hard-drive space.
- A web camera (video and audio functionality).
- Edge browser is preferred - the most current non-beta version (may need to be run in compatibility mode if you experience problems while working on any platform). Chrome is also an acceptable browser.
- Firewall protection either through router/gateway or internet protection suite software.
- A wired high-speed internet connection (cable, DSL, or fiber optic only) must be used during working hours.
- Direct Ethernet connection to your modem or router is required. Wi-Fi connection is not allowed
- Reliable telephone (corded landline or cell phone).
- A hands free corded headset compatible with your phone (Bluetooth devices are not allowed) must be used.
- If using a cell phone, your phone must maintain a full charge during your shift.
- Features (e.g. call waiting, voicemail, call forwarding, etc.) must be disabled during working hours.
- In-home access to a printer
- Your work environment should include a quiet private and secure work space to conduct interviews (does not have to be a dedicated office, but the work environment must be quiet and secure during work all hours, including training).
