Job Description
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to all patient populations including Special Needs, Adult, Child and Adolescent.
This role requires the ability to use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that acknowledges the potential for recovery and wellness for every person we serve. Key responsibilities include developing and conducting group therapy, providing assessment to identify patient needs, documenting pertinent clinical data, and participating in maintaining inventory of supplies.

Requirements
An Associate's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program is required. Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professionals, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is also necessary. Additionally, American Occupational Therapy Association membership is preferred. IRF and/or LTACH experience is beneficial, as is certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Experience in inpatient behavioral healthcare is highly valued. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates.

Essential Functions:
- Develops and conducts group therapy sessions for various patient populations.
- Provides individualized assessment to patients as needed and makes recommendations to the treatment team regarding specialized rehab services or discharge planning.
- Maintains unit arts supplies and reports any issues to the Director.
