ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a seasonal Pickleball Instructor. The Pickleball Instructor will be responsible for creating and executing an exceptional Pickleball instruction program from which all Members and guests benefit. This position will play an integral role in the overall success of the Club’s Pickleball program by assuring all Members and guests a positive instructional experience. This will be achieved through the development and promotion of instructional programs, creation and execution of player development programs, leading private and group instruction, and assisting in Member and guest equipment needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Pickleball Instructor must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Director of Pickleball and/or Head Pickleball Professional, including but not limited to:
- Develop and promote Junior Pickleball programs
- Assist Director of Instruction in daily set up and maintenance
- Conduct private and group instruction for all Members and guests
- Develop, organize, promote, schedule and conduct Pickleball instructional programs that meet Member demand and needs
- Assist in growth of the Pickleball program by creating player development programs that will foster interest and engagement
- Assist in Member equipment needs
- Mentor junior level Professionals in development of teaching and coaching skills
- Participate in Member Pickleball fill ins on a routine basis
- Maintain high level of involvement across entire Pickleball program, as instructed by Director of Pickleball and/or Head Pickleball Professional
- Maintain professional expertise through related courses and learning opportunities in Pickleball instruction, player development and technology
- Maintain a high level of visibility and instruction with both Members and guests

- Provide an expert level of professionalism for Members and their guests.
- Follow in place communication and marketing plans for the Pickleball & Squash programs.
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory, and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Experience playing the game of Pickleball, with demonstrated skill set
- Prior experience teaching and coaching Pickleballers
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS/ SPECIALIZED COURSE AND/OR TRAINING
- Must possess demonstrated knowledge of and ability in the game of Pickleball and all applicable rules
- Proficiency in tournament software
- Proficiency in Jonas POS software and ForeTees system, or ability to learn Club software systems
- Proficiency in utilizing PPR Admin Portal systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Publisher
- Must be self-motivated, with a demonstrated passion for Pickleball and desire to promote the Club’s Pickleball program
- Must maintain a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable presence at all times
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to communicate in a professional and courteous way with Members and staff
PHYSICAL, SENSORY & MOTOR DEMANDS
Primarily working in and around the Club’s designated Pickleball Operations areas, including all Club Pickleball events, the Pro Shop, and related offices.
PAY RANGE
$20.00 - $25.00 hourly compensation (commensurate with experience), plus lesson commissions
