The Westchester County Department of Health seeks a highly skilled Senior Engineer to oversee the development and implementation of public health programs. As a key member of our team, you will apply engineering principles to detect, evaluate, control, and manage factors that influence public health.
Responsibilities include enforcing provisions of Public Health Law and State Sanitary Code, consulting on housing and plumbing issues, advising on refuse collection and disposal, leading public health engineering investigations, providing technical training, and representing the Department on environmental health matters.
To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, four years of engineering experience, three of which must have been in public health or sanitary engineering. You must also possess Professional Engineering licensure from a state or political subdivision of the United States, or be eligible to sit for the PE examination.
