Summary: WMC Health#s Section of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery is seeking fellowship trained trauma surgeons with a specialization in trauma surgery and surgical critical care.# we are seeking a critical care fellowship trained surgeon to join our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery faculty at our ACS verified level 2 trauma center at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie New York.# Ample opportunities to train and train residents and trainees exist, along with opportunities to engage in clinical research. #Robotic and elective surgery are an important component of the faculty practice Experience: Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and/or surgical critical care. Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care and, trauma patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational or basic science research).#The Trauma Surgeon reports directly to the Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and the Director of the Department of Surgery.#Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, as well as the completion of a surgical residency and a surgical critical care fellowship.
