Summary:
WMC Health’s Section of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery is seeking fellowship trained trauma surgeons with a specialization in trauma surgery and surgical critical care. we are seeking a critical care fellowship trained surgeon to join our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery faculty at our ACS verified level 2 trauma center at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie New York. Ample opportunities to train and train residents and trainees exist, along with opportunities to engage in clinical research. Robotic and elective surgery are an important component of the faculty practice
Experience:
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and/or surgical critical care. Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care and, trauma patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational or basic science research). The Trauma Surgeon reports directly to the Chief of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and the Director of the Department of Surgery. Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, as well as the completion of a surgical residency and a surgical critical care fellowship.
