What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Coordinator position at Westchester Medical Center?
Job Summary: The Revenue Cycle Coordinator will work with the Revenue Cycle team of the WMC Health Network which includes affiliated entities in running reports from various systems, analyzing the data and preparing the reports. Incumbent must have a keen attention.
Responsibilities:
- Updates Rate Profile’s in billing system for governmental and commercial payers for both Inpatient and Outpatient services.
- Assists the Patient Financial Services and Reimbursement departments with special reports for Medicare, Medicaid DSH Payors etc.
- Perform necessary updates to maintain accuracy on Bed Management, Insurance Master and other required updates as determined by Patient Financial Services and Reimbursement departments.
- Work closely with other WMC departments.
- Prepare Monthly Management Reports.
- Compiles, analyzes various reports related to the various reimbursement methodologies.
- Assists in the preparation of Annual Medicare & Medicaid Cost Reports.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as an analyst, required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, required.
Licenses / Certifications:
Other: Excellent computer skills; knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Special Requirements: Proficiency using accounting software and Excel experience a plus.
