Open Door is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Analyst. The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for initiating reports, analyzing data, and communicating variances impacting Open Door’s revenue. This position reports to the Director Revenue Cycle and will be located at our Administrative Office in Tarrytown, NY.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor the performance of Open Door’s outsourced billing company to ensure all claims, submissions and payment postings are accurate and timely in accordance with established internal and third-party payer requirements and in compliance with established policies, regulations, procedures, and standards
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain reports on billing/collections activity and key revenue metrics for the Revenue Cycle Director and Chief Finance Officer; identify trends for further review
- Serve as liaison for clinical departments on coding and billing issues; participate in monthly departmental meetings
- Resolve billing issues
- Optimize reimbursement from third party insurers, and monitor performance, including denials, underpayments, adjustments, and collections
- Assist with year-end fiscal audit and annual coding audits
- Other billing-related assignments
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- EDUCATION: Associates or Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business or Healthcare preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as Revenue Cycle Analyst in healthcare
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize and monitor tasks
