What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biller position at Westerkamp Group, LLC?
We are growing! Westerkamp Group, LLC is an expanding company specializing in Revenue Cycle Management services in the health care industry. We are currently seeking an Biller in our Birmingham, AL office to efficiently and effectively review, correct, submit and perform follow-up for third party claims to payers for professional services reimbursement.
Successful candidates will have the following skills:
- Must have full understanding of insurance follow up processes (Billing, Collections, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial practices)
- Basic knowledge of CPT, ICD-9,and ICD-10 codes
- The ability to work independently and accomplish goals
- Patience
- Flexibility
- Attention to detail
- Administrative Writing Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
- HIPAA and Confidentiality knowledge
The core responsibilities of a Biller include the following
- Research
- Insurance billing
- Adjustment identification to ensure proper account resolution
- Follow-Up/Claims Research
