Responsibilities:
- Community Development: Foster inclusive environments, organize events, and promote resident engagement.
- Student Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of student staff members.
- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and execute residential programs that align with the University's mission and goals.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures.
- Custodial and Maintenance Coordination: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the residence hall complex.
- Summer Conference Duties: Participate in summer conferences and events.
- Furniture Inventory: Manage inventory and maintenance of residence hall furniture.
- On-Call Duty Rotation: Provide support and assistance to residents during on-call rotations.
- Conduct Team Participation: Serve on the University conduct team to address student misconduct.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience advising, developing, mentoring, and motivating a diverse student staff team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
- Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
- Significant student leadership experience in a college/university setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Student Affairs/Higher Education, Counseling, Educational Administration, or related field.
- Experience creating, implementing, and assessing a residential curricular model.
- Experience supporting student mental health, crisis response, and/or on-call responsibilities.
- Experience advising student groups.
- Experience building collaborative partnerships with faculty, students, parents/families, and/or community partners.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience as a Resident Assistant, Residence Life Graduate Assistant, Resident Director, or similar live-in Residence Life position.
