Asphalt Paving Foreman or Superintendent

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman or Superintendent to oversee asphalt paving projects throughout Southern Idaho. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving and will be responsible for leading a laydown team and the portable hot plant. Complete daily tasks while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with project managers to establish timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor work progress and quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Train and mentor team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, material usage, and labor hours.
  
  

Experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory role in asphalt paving is essential.
• Familiarity with CAT equipment.
• Understanding of GENCOR hot plant maintenance requirements, diagnosing, and repairs.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals.
  
  

Western Construction, Inc. is based in Boise, Idaho and works throughout Southern Idaho. Expect to work out of town in company supplied travel trailer. Projects can be a few weeks to several months at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay DOE: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
