Description
The Blow Mold Maintenance Technician performs maintenance on high-speed automated production machinery and support equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoots, repairs and makes adjustments to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on production machinery and support equipment
· Performs inspection of blow mold machines, palletizers, strappers, wrappers and laser date coders
· Performs changeovers of blow molders, palletizers and conveyor lines per production demands
· Rebuilds sub-assemblies to OEM specifications
· Performs preventive maintenance on blow molders, conveyors, palletizers, strappers, and wrappers
· Troubleshoots electrical control and distribution systems to include 24vac, 120vac, 277vac and 480vac controller and monitor control systems
· Some programming and troubleshooting of PLC’s
· Orders and installs replacement parts for machines
· Prepares reports documenting work performed
· Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines
· Fabricates and welds basic steel projects
· Performs other related duties as assigned
