Terramac is looking for Production Technicians at our St. Louis, MO location. The Production Technician assembles custom-built crawler units by interpreting blueprint specifications and using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, at times welding equipment and machine tools.
What the Production Technician does:
- Maintain and operate a safe work environment.
- Meet customer demand by custom building crawler units by interpreting specifications using blueprints and drawings.
- Rework and repair used equipment for sale and rent.
- Keep a safe environment by completing all jobs in a manner that complies with health, safety and environmental practices, policies, and procedures. Make sure you’re completing required documentation and keeping your work area and tools clean and in proper operation.
- Participate in on-the-job, technical, policy, and procedural training.
What the Production Technician needs:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of mechanical, automotive, or assembly experience.
- Ability to think independently, problem-solve, and be flexible.
- Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to provide your own basic hand tools.
What Helps:
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, sheet metal, or HVAC systems preferred.
- A technical school certificate in a related field a plus.
