This role is part of our SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting function, responsible for all external financial reporting, including SEC periodic Filings, Quarterly earnings releases, investor relations presentations, 401(k), and financial census reports.
Job Description
The Technical Accounting Manager will report to the Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, and will be responsible for:
- Managing periodic filings with the SEC, including preparation of financial statements and related notes, MD&A, and other disclosures
- Preparing financial statements and presentations for quarterly earnings releases and filing related Form 8-K
- Reviewing and tying-out Proxy financial disclosures
- Managing preparation of financial statements for 401(k) Plan and filing of Form 5500
- Overseeing accounting for company's capital structure (debt and equity)
- Overseeing accounting for equity compensation plans
- Monitoring and researching new accounting standards, summarizing and communicating impacts to executives and Audit Committee, and leading process changes where necessary to respond to new requirements
- Analyzing and understanding complex transactions, applying complex accounting standards to those transactions, developing solutions to problems and effectively communicating the results to stakeholders
- Collaborating effectively with internal clients, including General Accounting, IT, Treasury, Strategic Investments, Legal, Internal Audit, Real Estate Operations
- Liaising with external auditors and company stakeholders to manage effective and efficient audit execution
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and hold a CPA
- 4 years of experience with complex accounting including SEC reporting and GAAP
- Proven success with managing a team of finance professionals through ambiguity while still driving results
- Prior experience working in Public Accounting (Big 4) is highly preferred
- Experience with Workiva a strong plus
- Confident communicator with the level of maturity and presence necessary to influence senior executives and business leaders
- Thrive on driving innovation and change that will propel the business forward
- Consistently practice strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving tactics to stay ahead of business priorities
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan and Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
