Job Description
Western Digital needs highly skilled IT Systems Administrator with domain knowledge in manufacturing automated equipment systems support and tool-host communications through SECS / GEM Protocol. Candidate should have broad IT knowledge with Microsoft Domain Administration, Windows / Linux / Apple O / S, Network protocols, Storage Architecture, IT-Security and Firewall principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Position will support two USA manufacturing sites that make Hard Disk Drive components. One Factory is in Fremont CA, and the other is in South San Jose. Both Factories are rated as Class 100 Cleanroom and operates 24x7 with minimal interruption. Base of IT operations is at the Fremont site, but employee may need to work at the Great Oaks South San Jose location intermittently.
- Job is on-site work only with occasional remote work during emergencies. Position pays hourly with a set weekly schedule tuned to optimize manufacturing coverage. Position will liaison with applications development team for problems that require code changes.
- Position will require working in the Cleanroom and follow Cleanroom Protocol.

Manage Laptop and Workstation Inventory
