Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Account Manager
Location: Chicagoland and Western Suburbs – Naperville, IL 60563
Employment Type: Full-Time
Principal Duties:
The Account Manager is responsible for exceeding customer expectations by effective management of the financial and human resources appropriate to them by following Quality Standards. Responsible for selling the products and services WDL offers as well as achieving assigned sales goals and gross profit. The position ensures the performance of WDL Quality Standards and the management of all resources to achieve client confidence and exceptional service for their clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their maintenance needs, budgets, and long-term goals
- Achieve and surpasses monthly sales and client retention targets
- Identify and present site enhancement opportunities to both new and existing clients
- Proactively generate referrals from current & past clients
- Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, work orders, and change orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with Design Staff, Project Managers, and Installation teams to ensure seamless service execution
- Conduct regular site visits and customer service walk-throughs to maintain high client satisfaction
- Oversee contract renewals, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements
- Monitor and manage sales goals, ensuring profitability and growth
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience in landscaping & landscape maintenance sales
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively
- Experience in managing subcontractor relationships
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in preparing proposals, contracts & financial reports
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
- Strong customer service orientation
- Commercial Snow Removal sales experience is preferred
- Self-motivated with results-driven approach
