About the Role:
This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and machinery at Western Extrusions Corporation. Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will design, develop, and implement control systems that optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to enhance overall safety and productivity.
Your Responsibilities:
- Solve complex and highly technical problems.
- Maintain a high level of creativity and autonomy to enhance and uphold new and existing processes.
- Improve current processes to optimize efficiency and profitability.
- Create work instructions, control plans, and conduct process flow/failure analysis.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues on both new and existing equipment.
- Lead and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams to achieve process improvement goals.
- Develop control systems to enhance the safety, productivity, and quality of production lines.
- Guide technical staff in repairing and improving manufacturing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and quality guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promote, support, and enforce Western's Safety, Quality, Governance, regulatory and ISO 9001 standards as they apply.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team.
