Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
5 years or more of accounting experience is a must. An accounting degree is not necessary, but desired, and experience in construction or the lumber industry is a plus.
Salary DOE and benefit package includes health insurance and 401k retirement plan.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and post all levels of journal entries for various transactions.
- Assist in budgeting processes and provide financial analysis as needed.
- Needs a basic knowledge of payroll and HR management.
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must be skilled in QuickBooks accounting software as well as learn, master and merge proprietary software information into same.
- Conduct governmental accounting tasks as required by specific projects or clients.
- Must submit reports to management and interact with banking institution as well as preparing all information to CPA firm on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable positions.
Skills
- Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Experience in payroll management and processing.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficient in using QuickBooks or similar financial software for bookkeeping tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
