WG is one of the country’s largest manufacturers of temporary and permanent erosion control products.

Summary:

· The Plant Manager oversees and manages all functions related to operating a WG plant successfully. This includes meeting production goals and standards while minimizing manufacturing costs. · Possess excellent leadership qualities and demonstrated ability to build/maintain an effective team.

Desirable Skills:

· 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.

· 10 years in a manufacturing environment

Education Requirements:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in related field.

Essential Job Functions:

· Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, shipping and receiving.

· Coordinate plant activities through planning to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

· Ensure that safety procedures are being followed at all times and continuously strive for ways to improve workplace safety.

· Implement cost effective systems of control over capital and operating expenditures.

· Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.

· Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.

· Provide hands on leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.

· Supervise direct reports and hold them accountable for their areas of responsibilities by establishing goals, support for employee relations, mechanical/machinery issues, safety and daily challenges that arise.

· Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness.

· Work on the plant floor alongside of team members the majority of each workday. This position is expected to be hands on with the majority of time spent on the plant floor.

· Plan, manage, and adjust workload and production schedules to optimize plant resources and meet scheduled production commitments to customers.

· Responsible for monitoring and meeting all key manufacturing metrics, including Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale.

· Coordinate budgets and manage expenditures.

· Provide excellent customer relations when quality or delivery issues arise. Demonstrate a sense of urgency about customer response and addressing issues.

· Work with key senior management in ensuring exemplary daily operations support.

· Manage employee relations issues including counseling and terminations of employment.

· Provide leadership and direction to the operation insuring an accident-free workplace.

· Establish and monitor comprehensive lock out /tag out procedures.

· Maintain consistent communication with management on key issues, potential client issues and approach to resolutions.

· Demonstrate commitment to the Core Values.

· Regular attendance is required.

· Demonstrate commitment to identifying problems and improving: Workplace Safety, Product Quality, and Our ability to deliver our customers a superior product.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 per year
