Job Overview
Western Home Communities is seeking a compassionate, highly organized Villa Resident Coordinator to help foster a welcoming, engaging, and well-supported living environment for our residents. Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm (Evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed)
This role also involves transporting residents to and from events and outings. Preference will be given to those who currently hold a CDL license, Chauffeurs endorsement required within 6 months of hire.

The community also offers a variety of activities, including walks, day trips, out-of-state vacations, sporting events, bike rides, and block parties, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment for all residents.
What you’ll do as a Villa Resident Coordinator:
Plan and Coordinate Resident Programs: Design and implement engaging activities and events to promote resident involvement.
Foster a Welcoming Community: Serve as a liaison to new residents by completing orientation, facilitating introductions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the community.
Coordinate Daily Household Functions: Ensure guest rooms, lounges, and supply areas are maintained and well-stocked; input related charges into the billing system.
Provide Emotional and Social Support: Promote compassionate service and offer support to residents facing emotional, psychological, or transitional challenges.
Maintain Accurate Resident Records: Update census data, input transportation and billing charges, and maintain accurate information in resident portals.
Lead Event Execution: Prepare, shop, cook, and execute meals or refreshments for various resident and community events.
Promote Safety and Responsiveness: Respond promptly to safety calls and ensure emergency protocols are followed.
Serve as a Communication Hub: Relay information clearly between residents, families, staff, and departments; prepare memos and ensure timely distribution.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with other departments and fellow coordinators to share resources and coordinate multi-departmental initiatives.
Represent WHC with Integrity: Serve as an advocate for residents and represent Western Home Communities with professionalism and servant leadership, both internally and externally.
Requirements of a Villa Resident Coordinator:
(Required) Must have a good driving record and maintain a valid Iowa driver's license
(Required) Chauffeurs endorsement within 6 months of hire.
(Preferred) CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)
Comfortable operating a passenger bus; must be willing to drive/assist the community bus for scheduled outings
CPR certified or willing to achieve.
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Highly motivated and self directed.
