Works as a team in training, supporting and supervising Individuals in various basic skill areas, e.g., vocational mobility, self-help skills, social and emotional skills, communications, motor skills, functional academics, daily living skills, and community integration in accordance with Individual Plans (IP); utilizes systematic training methods and procedures to implement IP objectives; monitors Individual progress during training and program periods; maintains atmosphere of respect and encouragement in training programs; obtains materials, prepares and implements activities for program periods; monitors and oversees tasks in assigned area, requesting direction/assistance from supervisor or nurse as needed.
Supervises and monitors Individuals during program periods; assists Individuals on and off of vehicles and in and out of work area; assists Individuals in personal hygiene needs as necessary, such as toileting, soiled clothing, etc.; transfers and ambulates Individuals; assists Individuals with feeding; prepares supplies for personal care activities. Completes delegated nursing tasks as trained, reporting any problems or deviations to the delegating nurse. Transports Individuals as assigned; maintains cleanliness and safe operation of county vehicles; fuels vehicles per Adult Services procedure.
Provides input for development/revisions of IP's and behavior plans; participates in meetings for Individuals; assists in establishing goals and setting up programs to accomplish objectives; documents services, supports, goals and activities provided daily; completes documentation and incident reports; other paperwork/forms as assigned.
Attends in-service training sessions as required; attends staff meetings; promotes good public relations with parents, community groups, outside agencies, and the general public. Performs other related duties as assigned, to include but not limited to: serving on committees.
COMPENSATION: $15.84 - $22.32/hour

- Employees are encouraged to work with their supervisor to create an individual development plan to set goals for the employee's growth.
- Employees are enrolled in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement Plan and the Board contributes an amount equal to 14% of the employee's wages to their retirement plan.
- Employees have the option to enroll in medical, dental, and vison insurance plans which have very low premiums. Once deductibles are met, our medical plan pays 100% for most prescriptions and medical treatments.
- Employees who take advantage of the insurance plans will have a health savings account setup and can contribute through payroll deductions. To ensure that employees can afford medical costs the Board contributes $2,000 for single or $4,000 for family to the employee's health savings account.
- Rest and time with friends and families is important. Each year employees have ten holidays, one personal day, board administration days (the days between Christmas and New Year's Day), and generous sick and vacation leaves.
- Employees can apply for tuition assistance.
