Knicely Conference Center is searching for a full-time appointment as Coordinator, Events. This position is part of the Conferencing team and reports to the Manager, Conference Operations.
The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling staff to maintain current service levels as established by conference management. Oversee all student worker activities from hiring, training, and counseling, when necessary. Responsible for inventorying, maintaining, making recommendations and purchasing equipment to support conference activities. Providing additional administrative support to assist to the conference team when necessary.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare conference rooms for client usage per client request
- Provide the weekly work schedule for staff and students
- Oversee student worker staff from hiring, training, scheduling and counseling when necessary
- Reviewing and approving bi-weekly timesheets for all student employees
- Responsible for inventorying, purchasing, and maintaining equipment needed for conference services
- Ability to take reservations and booking client events when necessary
- Assist with booking and creating weekly set-up worksheets when necessary
- Assist with client needs and requests
- Maintain sanitation standards
- Oversee the organization of all storage and audio video areas
- General understanding of how to use Audio Video equipment (Projectors, microphones, laptops, and lighting controls.)
Job Requirements:
- High School or GED
- Supervisory experience (supervisory experience could include supervising GA's, student workers, leading volunteers, etc. and in a part time capacity)
Additional Information:
Hourly Range: $17.44 - $18.18
