Job Description:
The Land Technician position supports the Project Manager and Title Examiner by preparing and processing leases, assisting in the review of reports, and supporting Land Agents and Abstractors through data organization. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of land operations.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers and Title Examiners with day-to-day title and leasing operations.
- Review and critique leases for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare, print, and distribute leases and offer letters.
- Learn and utilize the WLS Lease and Title database to organize landowner and lease information.
- Review and compile landowner lists for Oklahoma Corporation Commission filings.
- Assist in the final review of title reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Create and execute mail merges for communications.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, and document preparation.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Uphold Western Land Services' Core Values in all aspects of work.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data organization, and data mining.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Access or other enterprise database systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in land services, oil and gas, or a similar industry is a plus.
