ADVOCATES (Per Diem)

Advocates @ Wildflower Alliance's Pittsfield Center:

Schedule: Per diem (filling in as needed when team members are on vacation, out sick, etc.)Pay: $18 to $19 per hour

Required Qualifications: Investment in the value of peer support and alternatives to conventional clinical systems; Ability to balance a variety of needs in an active center; Your own experience living through trauma, psychiatric diagnosis, homelessness, problems with substances per Diem Advocates and/or a variety of other life-interrupting challenges; Understanding and commitment to examining and undoing systemic oppression related to racism, gender, psychiatric diagnosis, etc.

Preferred Qualifications: Established residence in Berkshire County and familiarity with local resources; Experience offering peer support and familiarity with peer support values and approaches.

A Plus: Familiarity with c/s/x, mad, peer, recovery, and/or human rights movements, Intentional Peer Support, and/or other training relevant to peer-to-peer support (HearingVoices, Alternatives to Suicide, etc.); Familiarity with harm reduction approaches; Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/ASL)/Bicultural.
