Commercial Plumbing Estimator

We are currently wanting to add a Commercial Plumbing Estimator to our Team!
Job summary : Estimate commercial plumbing projects, in coordination with the sales team.
Job Duties :
- Assist with the estimations of new job site bids, projects
Prepare / submit for review conceptual design develop estimates, guaranteed maximum price estimates and competitive lump sum estimates by performing quantity take-off, when required based upon a complete understanding of the contract documents
Utilize and maintain proficiency in applicable computerized estimating systemsInspect project sites and evaluate site conditionsParticipate in and fully understand all pricing aspects of each project including front end specificationsCoordinate with COO, and other departments, to ensure complete and accurate bid(s)Prepare value engineering and cost savings studies, when necessaryReview the estimate in detail prior to submission to COO and / or executives for reviewSchedule all divisional, internal estimating and executive review, and take the lead role in the review meetingsMonitor projects that have been successfully bid and are under construction, so as to learn the actual methods and costs of field operationsSchedule visits to the project sites to compare the estimate plan with actual constructionWhy work for Western Mechanical Contractors?

Requirements :
Good communication skills, professional, dependable, detailed and motivatedDevelop and track a project schedule including manpower loading for the projectProperly estimate commercial project from blueprints to inceptionContact vendors, subcontractors and suppliers for estimation of job costingEstablish project cost coordinating the planning efforts with other trades for tracking of equipment, material, labor, tools, subcontracts and miscellaneous costSelect and manage commercial project subcontractsInspect the jobsite on regular basis for contract compliance, workmanship, and safetyFollow-up on any required warranty work and maintain contract with owner to insure customer satisfactionManage multiple small to large jobs at one time with minimal supervisionMust be detailed oriented in record keeping tool
Salary : $93,000 - $98,000
