Summary / Objective The fiber laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs. Essential Functions Perform typical laser cutting operations Select proper cutting and fixtures Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point Make proper set-ups for cutting operations Perform prescribed maintenance as required Perform all dimensional inspections Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor Read, understand and comprehend basic blueprints and drawings Must be able to complete paper work accurately May work at different workstations as production needs require Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.Must be able to work outside in harsh weather conditions. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 5 : 00 a.m. to 1 : 30 p.m. Overtime and Saturdays may be required at the request of your supervisor.
