Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in oil and gas facilities with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor facilities as needed.
Education & Experience:
- 10 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, reliability, or project management in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale capital maintenance projects for rotating equipment in upstream, midstream, or downstream operations.
- Strong technical expertise in rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps, including troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repair strategies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ANSI, etc.).
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to work effectively with both engineers and operations personnel.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with strong analytical and time management skills.
- Strong initiative to work efficiently with accurate results.
- Proficiency with standard office software such as Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

- Update stakeholders through timely progress reports or notifications of achieving significant project milestones Collaborate with different teams within WES: HSE, Engineering and Construction, Field Operations, Measurement, Automation, Supply Chain Management, Asset Integrity and Remote Operations Center (ROC).
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for the repair, refurbishment, or replacement of rotating equipment, including scope, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, contractors, and OEMs, ensuring alignment and successful execution.
- Manage project performance, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Prepare and present project updates, including risks, budgets, schedules, and key performance metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with site maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to minimize downtime and ensure seamless integration of equipment into operations.
- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring all work complies with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company HSE standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure safe execution of projects in hazardous environments.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and local permitting requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Authorize work to be performed on behalf of Western Midstream by issuing purchase orders to vendors. Develop project cost tracking mechanisms and supply that cost information for monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting for review by management
- Review vendor and contractor proposals to ensure value for money and technical compliance.
- Benchmark performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Ensure project information is shared timely and accurately with all stakeholders and that lessons learned are transferred between all organizations. Provide Feedback of Project Timing to Integrated Schedule.
- Lead post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and implement improvements for future projects.
