Community Dietitian

TITLE: Community Dietitian – Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic, professional Community Dietitian. Excellent opportunity to join our award-winning network leading the efforts to provide community programs and services to address health related social needs such as food and nutrition insecurity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Nutrition Services for the counties of Genesee, Orleans and Niagara, including on-site visits, menu development and analysis, and individual and group nutrition counseling and education.
• Develop nutrition education materials such as newsletters and handouts
• Record and maintain proper documentation and reports according to requirements.
• This position includes both field-based and office-based responsibilities. Work From Home / Remote office is an option for all office-based responsibilities. Weekly travel to the counties of Genesee, Niagara, and/or Orleans is required. Must have reliable transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Requires NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) certification (or eligible to apply)
• ServSafe certification (or will obtain within first 30 days of hire)
• Strong computer/technology skills including electronic health record, Microsoft Office-Suite, Outlook, and menu analysis software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for coordinating and completing various monthly tasks.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community with a track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.
• Team player who enjoys working both collaboratively and independently.
• Provides support for assigned Committees of the Board of Directors and the Network.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation, as a significant portion of the programs will be conducted in the field throughout the Western New York region.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service on phone, in-person, via email and in all aspects of employment at WNY Integrated Care.
• Communicates in a positive manner both internally and externally to partners.
• Assists Team in a wide array of responsibilities from event planning to reports.
